We don't ask for your name, your email, or your account. There is no signup. We don't track you across the web. We don't sell anything to anyone.
When you tap the thumbs-up / thumbs-down on a forecast, we save: your verdict (hit or miss), the species, the water type, our predicted score, and your approximate location rounded to roughly 11 km. That's it. We use this only to find out where the prediction model is weak, and fix it.
No name. No email. No IP address. No precise GPS. No browser fingerprint. No advertising cookies. No third-party trackers. No social pixels. No cross-site identifiers.
We use no tracking cookies. The only browser storage we touch is local — your saved language, your map preferences, your offline scan cache, and your private hit-rate history. None of that ever leaves your device.
If analytics is enabled on this build, we use Plausible — a cookieless, privacy-first counter that records page views and aggregate visit counts. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint, and does not identify individuals.
Forecasts pull weather from open-meteo and openweathermap, river data from public hydrology services, water outlines from OpenStreetMap, and map tiles from openfreemap or Google Maps. These services see your scan coordinates while you're using the app, but receive no identifying information about you.
Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our side. You can clear your local hit-rate history any time from the app. If you have any privacy question, write to us.
